Privacy Policy
Overview
IGIGI General Store is an informational editorial archive. You can read public pages without creating an account, purchasing a product or submitting personal details. This policy explains the limited technical information a standard WordPress website may process and the choices available to visitors.
Server logs
When a browser requests a page, the hosting server may record the internet address used for the connection, request time, requested URL, response status, referring page and browser identification string. These logs support security, abuse prevention and diagnosis of broken pages. They are operational records, not reader profiles, and are not used by this site to infer sensitive interests or sell advertising audiences.
Cookies and local storage
The public reading experience does not require a marketing account. WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies for administrators, authenticated sessions, comment preferences or security controls. If you do not sign in and do not submit a comment, the site is designed to function without an account cookie. Browser settings can remove or block cookies, although authenticated features may then stop working.
Comments and corrections
If comments are enabled on an individual article and you submit one, WordPress may store the information entered in the form together with technical anti-abuse data such as an IP address and browser string. Comments are moderated. A correction report may be reviewed privately and does not have to be published. Do not include confidential, financial, medical or identifying information in a comment.
Embedded and third-party content
Restored article images are hosted locally whenever they are retained. This reduces calls to historical source hosts and prevents an unrelated image provider from being necessary for ordinary reading. Some articles may name outside publications, services or brands as part of their historical subject. Plain text mentions do not transmit data to those organizations.
If a future page includes an actual third-party embed, that provider may receive ordinary connection data when the embed loads. Such an element should be used only when it adds clear editorial value. You may block third-party requests with browser privacy tools.
Analytics and advertising
The site does not promise that infrastructure providers collect no aggregate traffic or security measurements. However, IGIGI General Store does not ask readers to create behavioral advertising profiles, does not sell submitted personal data and does not require newsletter registration to access the archive. Any future analytics or advertising integration must be reflected in this policy before it is treated as part of normal site operation.
Data retention and security
Operational logs and moderation records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and editorial administration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but the site uses HTTPS and limits public forms and accounts to reduce unnecessary collection. Administrative credentials are not exposed on public pages.
Your choices
You may browse without signing in, block optional cookies, disable third-party content and avoid submitting a comment. If you previously submitted a comment and want its personal fields reviewed, identify the article and the comment text through the correction process described on the Contact & Corrections page. A request may require enough information to distinguish your submission from another reader’s.
Children
The archive is written for a general adult readership and contains articles about relationships, sex, body image and difficult personal experiences. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly request children’s personal information.
Policy changes
This policy may change when the site’s actual data practices change. The current page is the controlling version. Material changes should be described here in plain language rather than hidden in unrelated terms.
