In our review of this board, we were glad to see that the Arbor Genesis follows in the like of its predecessors with its excellence in all areas of skateboarding.

The Board
The Arbor Genesis measures 44 inches from tip of the board to the back and is 9.60 inches wide. The long length allows the board to roll longer with less pushing and go faster downhills.
The deck is made out of 8 ply maple with a custom wood top unique among Arbor boards. Arbor’s company philosophy is one of sustainability so they take a lot of care when gathering materials and creating their decks to ensure that each board is high quality and there is no waste.

It comes with Caliber Reverse Kingpin trucks which give the board a low turning radius and allows the longboard to dance down hills as if it was a board half the size. It has Blood Orange bushings to dampen vibration caused by the road and allow your feet to remain steady even when riding on rough roads.
The wheels are especially made by Arbor almost exclusively to help this board. Standard with the Arbor Genesis are Arbor Sucrose Initiative Summit Series wheels which balance pure power and drifting capabilities perfectly in order to allow this board to slide and go fast.
The wheels are made out of sucrose, not plastic as almost all other longboard wheels are made out of, in order to increase performance, durability, and environmental sustainability.

Bearings is the one area that might necessitate improvement in the Arbor Genesis. With only ABEC 5 bearings, these will allow the board to run but they are on the lower end of quality bearings spectrum. I would personally recommend upgrading to Red Bones Bearings. For less than $20, you’ll be able to obtain high-quality bearings and keep your Arbor Genesis going longer than ever before.
Arbor Genesis: Riding Experience
With its symmetrical design, the Arbor Genesis is most like a version of the Loaded Dervish Sama capable of dancing down hills and generating beautiful thane lines with every slide. The reverse kingpin trucks give this longboard the capability to make very tight turns while keeping the rider in place on top of the board.
To allow tighter turns and to aid in keeping the rider’s feet steady while sliding, Arbor applied a clear grip tape to the top of the board. While some may not think of it as efficient as standard black grip tape, I personally liked being able to see the well done graphic design on top of the board.
Arbor Genesis: Recommendations
The Arbor Genesis is perfect for riders looking for a flexible board that is top of the line in the carving, cruising, and sliding areas of longboarding.

It glides down roads and pavements but ultimately is too flexible and turny to be an extreme downhill board. I would recommend keeping this board underneath 30-35 mph as speed wobbles will quickly take this board out from your control.
