One of the best cheap longboards currently available on the market today, the SCSK8 longboard performs admirably well when Review Longboards took it out on the streets.
Not too much information is available about the longboard maker, SCSK8, but looking over their other offerings, it appears that they are a strong competitor to Yocaher in the cheap longboard market.

In preparing a good cheap longboard, SCSK8 excels. The SCSK8 Professional speed drop down longboard is less than $50 and functions as a great beginner board for longboarders.
The deck of the SCSK8 Professional Speed Drop Down is made out of 7 ply maple and comes with grip tape already applied. The maple construction of the deck gives the longboard a slightly springy feel as you shift on your weight on it.
The SCSK8 also comes with 8.5 inch wide drop through aluminum trucks and ABEC bearings. One thing that we noticed as our test rides continued that the SCSK8 longboard bearings did not really function as well as they should have.
When purchasing this board, it’s no problem to upgrade the SCSK8 bearings though. For less than $10, you can purchase ABEC 9 bearings which will keep the wheels of your SCSK8 longboard rolling for forever. The SCSK8 professional speed longboard comes with 70mm polyurethane wheels which are standard for a board at this price range. One aspect that reviewers consistently mentioned was that these wheels should be upgraded if you want to go into downhill longboarding. Review Longboards would suggest the Sector 9 Nineballs which will dampen the vibrations caused by the road and keep your ride smooth.
Overall, the SCSK8 professional speed longboard is great through. It functions perfectly well as a superb carving longboard right out of the box. With the deck design, wheel bite is not as much of a problem and beginners can rapidly find themselves riding down hills on this longboard.
As a beginner longboard, we did not attempt slides on the SCSK8 professional drop down longboard. The SCSK8 does however, function great as a downhill board. Once we replaced the wheels, the Review Longboard’s crew all took turns carving downhills and each had a blast.

The SCK8 longboard simply cannot beat at its price point. Although you might have to upgrade the bearings, the low price of this board means that even with replacement parts you can have a top of the line longboard for under $60.
The SCSK8 longboard functions perfectly well as a beginner longboard looking to not spend much money to get into longboarding. The SCSK8 carves well without the threat of wheel bite, flexes a little as you ride on it, and is capable of picking up lots of speed as you go downhill.
Review Longboards would definitely recommend the SCSK8 professional speed drop down longboard to any longboard rider looking for a cheap longboard. With a few upgrades, the SCSK8 is capable of carving like a $150 Sector 9 longboard for less than half of the price.
